On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foundation Day, Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Sunday paid heartfelt tributes to the party’s founding fathers and senior leaders, acknowledging their enduring contributions to building and strengthening the organization.

Taking to social media platform X, Nadda expressed deep gratitude to those who laid the foundation of the BJP, crediting their unwavering commitment and sacrifice for the party’s rise.

“Today, on the Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I pay my heartfelt tributes to all the founding fathers and senior leaders of the organization, who nurtured the creation and expansion of the party with their blood and sweat and remained constantly engaged with it with all their heart and soul,” Nadda wrote.

He also extended warm wishes to BJP workers across the country, praising their tireless efforts at the grassroots level which have helped the party evolve into the world’s largest political organization.

“On this occasion, I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the workers, brothers and sisters across the country who have strengthened the organisation at the booth level and made BJP the biggest political party in the world,” he added.

Highlighting the achievements of the last decade, Nadda praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the government continues to work toward the goal of a ‘Developed India’ and the upliftment of the last person in the queue — a vision rooted in the principle of Antyodaya.

“Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our government is committed to building a ‘Developed India’ while realizing the resolution of Antyodaya,” Nadda stated. “On this special day, I urge all BJP workers to commit themselves to elevating Mother India to the pinnacle of glory and contributing to the progress of every section of society.”

The Bharatiya Janata Party traces its origins back to 1951, when it was founded as the Bharatiya Jana Sangh by Syama Prasad Mookerjee. The party rose to national prominence in the 1990s under the leadership of stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani, and has since remained a major force in Indian politics.
